In SimpliPlan, the program autosaves every 5 minutes. In the event of an error that causes the program to crash, or in the event you accidentally overwrite a saved plan, you can recover a saved automatic backup.

To restore an autosave:
- Click the Open icon:
- In the Open file window, click the Saved plans icon:
and select Automatic backups:
Note: The Open file window opens using the last location a file was saved or opened from.
- Select the desired autosave file.
- Click Open file.
