SimpliPlan supports several laser measuring devices connected via Bluetooth. For a list of supported makes and models of laser rangefinders, see Which Bluetooth laser rangefinders are supported? However, users may find that their Bluetooth laser rangefinder will not connect to the application.
There may be several reasons for this:
- Bluetooth is not enabled on the laser rangefinder. To resolve this, users should enable Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth is not enabled on the user's tablet or device. To resolve this, users should enable Bluetooth.
- Location services are not enabled on the user's tablet or device, or SimpliPlan does not have permission to use location services. To resolve this, users should enable location services and allow SimpliPlan permission to use location services.
Note! This only applies to tablets or devices with an Android 11 operating system (OS) and older. - The user's tablet or device is not Bluetooth capable, for example, some Windows tablets do not have inbuilt Bluetooth capability. For more information, see Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows (External link).
- The user's laser rangefinder may not be supported by SimpliPlan. For a list of currently supported makes and models, see Which Bluetooth laser rangefinders are supported?
