In SimpliPlan, if users encounter a program error or bug, it is recommended that they contact the SimpliPlan support team and provide the program logfiles to help the support team diagnose the error.
Below is a list of files that users can provide, and their file locations:
Defective plan files
Located in This PC/Documents/SimpliPlan/Plans or This PC/Documents/SimpliPlan/Online Plans or This PC/Documents/SimpliPlan/Automatic backups.
For MAC users;
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Documents/Simpliplan/Online Plans or
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Documents/Simpliplan/Automatic backups
UserSettings.xml file
Located in This PC/Documents/SimpliPlan
For MAC users;
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Documents/Simpliplan/
error.log file
Located in OS (C:)/Users/(username)/AppData/LocalLow/Compusoft Group/SimpliPlan.
For MAC users;
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Library/Logs/Compusoftgroup/Simpliplan
Note: error.log files are not always created. The lack of an error.log file in this folder is not normally a cause for concern.
player.log file
Located in OS (C:)/Users/(username)/AppData/LocalLow/Compusoft Group/SimpliPlan.
For MAC users;
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Library/Logs/Compusoftgroup/Simpliplan
player-prev.log file
Located in OS (C:)/Users/(username)/AppData/LocalLow/Compusoft Group/SimpliPlan.
For MAC users;
Mackintosh HD/Users/(username)/Library/Logs/Compusoftgroup/Simpliplan
NOTE! If the program is restarted more than once, the previous player-prev.log file will be overwritten. If a user encounters an unexpected error, it is recommended they contact the support team immediately.
