In SimpliPlan, users can enter Presentation mode to navigate around the plan in a 3D view. This mode is useful for creating view points and for rendering images. For more information see Presentation mode: Display, Create your own views and How to render images.
Note: The 3D navigator is also available in 3D view.
Entering Presentation mode
- Tap the Presentation mode icon:
Using the 3D navigator
In Presentation mode, the 3D navigator is located at the bottom left corner of the screen:
Tap the Up, Down, Left and Right arrows to rotate the 3D view. Tap the Centre camera icon to centre the camera, or switch to a bird's eye view.
Pressing and holding the top right corner of the 3D navigator will show the Zoom out icon and the camera will zoom out. | Pressing and holding the top left corner of the 3D navigator will show the Zoom in icon and the camera will zoom in. | Pressing and holding the upper area to the right of the 3D navigator will show the Camera Up icon and the camera will move up. |

Camera positioning menu
In the Camera positioning menu, users can set the camera's Focus point and Rotation along the X, Y and Z axes, and the Distance in centimetres (cm).
Alternative navigation controls
Other than using the 3D navigator, users can also:
- Right-click, hold and move the mouse to rotate the 3D view.
Note: The arrow keys on the keyboard can also be used to rotate the 3D view. - The mouse wheel can be used to Zoom in and Zoom out.
- The Page up and Page down keys on the keyboard can be used to move the Camera up and move the Camera down.
- The W, A, S, and D keys on the key board can be used to horizontally pan the 3D view.
- The spacebar on the keyboard can be used to centre the 3D view.
- The F8 key on the keyboard can be used to show or hide the 3D navigator.
