In SimpliPlan, users can add a pre-wall below a roof slope, also know as a sloped ceiling, and position the pre-wall to align with roof slope.

In Room mode:
- Create a roof slope. See How to create a roof slope.
- Under Components, at the bottom of the left-hand menu, click and hold the Pre-wall truncated (diagonally) icon:
- Drag and drop the pre-wall into the plan.
- Rotate the pre-wall so that the truncated (short) side faces the roof slope.
Note: For more information on positioning a pre-wall, see How to insert and edit a pre-wall. - Under Properties, located in the menu on the right side of the screen, alter the dimensions of the pre-wall as desired.
- Left-click the wall where the roof slope has been created.
Note: The selected wall will be highlighted with a dashed red line. - Under Roof slope, located in the menu on the right side of the screen, take note of the values in the Jamb wall and Angle fields.
- Left-click the pre-wall.
Note: The selected pre-wall will be highlighted with a dashed red line. - Under Properties, located in the menu on the right side of the screen, enter the value noted for Jamb wall into the Height short side field.
Note: The values entered into the Jamb wall (under Roof slope) and Height short side (under Properties) fields should now be identical. - Under Properties, located in the menu on the right side of the screen, enter the value noted for Angle (under Roof slope) into the Angle field.
Note: The values entered into the Angle (under Roof slope) and Angle (under Properties) fields should now be identical. - If the user has not already done so, drag and drop the pre-wall so that the short side is aligned with the jamb wall of the roof slope.
Note: Users could also use the icons under Positioning, located in the menu on the right side of the screen, to move the pre-wall into place. For more information, see How to insert and edit a pre-wall.
