In SimpliPlan, you can print in both a room plan and the tiling plan in a variety of sizes and formats to send to your customers.
Note: The print function in the program creates a PDF file, which can then be printed, emailed or saved to a cloud storage space, a USB flash drive, or an external hard drive. |
In any mode:
- Click the Print planning icon:

In the Create PDF file window, select the desired options for the PDF file.
Create PDF file
In the Create PDF file window, you can:
- Click the Orientation drop-down menu to select a Horizontal (Landscape) or Vertical (Portrait) layout.
- Click the Paper size drop-down menu to select the size of the PDF file.
- Click the Scale drop-down menu to select the scale of the plan or tile layout as it appears in the PDF file.
- Click the Quality drop-down menu to the select the DPI (dots per inch) of the plan or tile layout as it appears in the PDF file.
Note: Selecting a higher DPI will increase the size of the PDF file.
- Click the Templates drop-down menu to select the layout of the PDF file.
- The Number of pages drop-down menu displays the number of pages the PDF file will have.
- Under the Standard tab, you can select a number of views to display in the PDF file, such as bird's-eye views, wall views and the parts list.
Note: You can also select views you have created. For more information, see Create your own views.
- Under the Tiling plan tab, you can select a number of views to display in the PDF file, such as wall views and the tiles list.
Note: Selecting the Tiling plan tab also makes the Tiling start tick box available.
Note: Click Show print preview to open the Print preview editor. For more information, see How to use the print preview editor.
- Click the Orientation drop-down menu to select a Horizontal (Landscape) or Vertical (Portrait) layout.
- Click Create PDF file.
- In The PDF-file was created dialog box, click the Open file button to open the PDF file.
Note: You can also click the Open storage location button to open the file location on your device or click X to close the dialog box.
