In SimpliPlan, you can add a door, or multiple doors, to a plan. Once a door is in the plan, it can then be edited.

In Room mode:
- Under Doors, left-click a door to select it.
Note: Click the arrow icon for more options.
- Move the cursor to the desired location along one of the walls in the plan.
Note: A preview of the doors location will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.
- Move the cursor to one side of the dashed black line to position the door to open outwards or inwards, and left-click to confirm the location of the door.
Note: A preview of the open door will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.
- The direction of the dashed black line will change. Move the cursor to one side of the dashed black line to position the door hinges on the left or the right.
Note: A preview of the open door will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.
- Left-click to confirm.
You can now alter the position and dimensions of the door using the panel located on the right, under the headings Positioning and Door:
Positioning
Under Positioning, you can adjust the location of the door by using the icons or entering new values into the Space left and Space right fields.
Note: The Shift step length field determines the distance moved when using the Move selection up, Move selection down, Move selection left and Move selection right icons. |
Door
Under Door, you can:
- Adjust the dimensions of the frame by entering new values into the Frame size fields, height and width.
- Adjust the split of double doors by entering a new value into the Split field.
Note: This field is only available for double doors.
- Alter the thickness of the frame by entering new values in the Frame width and alter the inner width of the frame by entering a new value in the Inner width field.
Note: Adjusting this value will also adjust Frame size width and vice versa.
- Adjust the thickness of the door by entering a new value in the Door thickness field.
- Adjust the dimensions of a sliding door in the Rail thickness, Rail distance and Rail protrusion.
Note: These fields are only available for sliding doors.
- Click the Hinged left / right button to toggle the door hinges from left to right.
- Click the Hinged inner / outer button to toggle the door to open outwards or inwards.
- Click the Door drop-down to toggle the door Open or Closed.
