In SimpliPlan, windows cannot be placed directly onto the ceiling of a room as roof windows. However, they can be moved from a wall to the ceiling.

In Room mode:
- Under Windows, left-click a window to select it. For example, the Roof window:
Note: Click the arrow icon for more options.
- The cursor will change to a Window icon:
Note: Users can right-click to abort, or click the Undo/cancel icon:
- Move the cursor to the desired location on one of the walls in the plan and left-click to confirm.
Note: A preview of the window location will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.
- Left-click and drag the selected window onto the ceiling, and release to confirm.
Users can now alter the position and dimensions of the window using the menu located on the right side of the screen, under the headings Positioning and Window. For more information, see How to insert and edit a window.
