In SimpliPlan, you can add manufacturer's objects into the plan, such as wash basins, bath tubs, shower trays, shower cubicles, bathroom fittings, furniture and accessories. Once a manufacturer object has been added to the plan it can then be edited.
In Furnish mode:
- In the panel located on the left, you can expand the drop-downs to search for an object under a manufacturer's name. You can also expand the Favourite drop-down to access your saved favourites. For more information, see Inventory favourites. You can also perform searches, see Inventory search and Inventory advanced search.
Note: If you cannot see any manufacturer names, see Why is the inventory empty?

Left-click and hold the desired object thumbnail.

Drag and drop into the plan.
Hold the SHIFT key on the keyboard to ignore capture points and place freely.
Note: You can also right-click to rotate an object whilst placing it.
You can now alter the position and dimensions of the door using the panel located on the right, under the headings Positioning, Manufacturers object, Variations, Tub assistant and Water:
Positioning
Under Positioning, you can adjust the location of the object by using the icons.
Note: The Shift step length field determines the amount moved when using the Move selection up, Move selection down, Move selection left and Move selection right icons. The Rotate step length determines the degrees rotated when using the Rotate selection left and Rotate selection right icons. |
You can also access additional options under the tabs:
- Under the Positioning tab, you can adjust the height of the object by entering new values into the Top edge to ground, Object centre to ground and Bottom edge to ground fields.
- Under the Rotation tab, you can use the icons to rotate and tilt the object.
Note: The Rotate step length field determines the degrees moved when using the Rotate left, Rotate right, Tilt left, Tilt right and Tilt forwards icons.
- Under the Size tab, you can adjust the dimensions of the object by entering new values into the Scale fields, Width, Height and Depth. You can also left-click the padlock to retain the objects current width, height and depth ratios. Click the Reset scale button to return the object to its original size.
Note! Manufacturer's objects that have been rescaled may not be available to order from the manufacturer in those dimensions.
- Under the Measuring tab, you can click the icons below Choose the wall measuring type, to select different measurements to be displayed.
Note: Measurements are only visible in 2D view.
Manufacturers object
Under Manufacturers object, users can:
- View information about the object in the Article number, Order number, Name, Manufacturer, Material group and Product group fields.
- Rescale the object by entering new information in the Size fields, Width, Height and Depth.
Note! Manufacturer's objects that have been rescaled may not be available to order from the manufacturer in those dimensions.
- Save the object as a favourite by clicking the Save as favourite button.

- Toggle the generation of an automatic material area around the object by ticking the Automatic material area box.
- Cut a hole in the object by clicking the Cut hole button.

- Convert the object into a platform by clicking the Convert to platform button.

- Change the light profile used for rendering by clicking the IES light profile drop-down and selecting a new option.

Variations
Under Variations, you can click the available drop-down to select a different variation for the object.
Note! That Variations section is not available for all manufacturer's objects. It is only available if the manufacturer offers different versions of that object. |
